Warehousing functionality

The purpose of this page is to come to a functional and technical design for warehousing functionality in osFinancials. Please insert your requested functionality here with a short description.

Based on the requested functionality we can start to produce a design and discus with you where we may come in conflict to determine the best solution.

Requested functionality

• location control - store stock on multiple locations. We need a receiving location, barcode locations etc.
• lot control - A unique identification assigned to a homogeneous quantity of material. Syn: batch number, mix number. It should be possible to register on location and order too.
• serialized items - A unique number assigned for identification to a single piece that will never be repeated for similar pieces. Serial numbers are usually applied by the manufacturer but can be applied at other points, including by the distributor or wholesaler. It should be possible to register on location and order too.
• expiry date - e.g. for date related items like food.
• support lifo (last in, first out) and fifo (first in, first out) inventory and picking movements.
• report changes or new reports for dispatch and pickinglists.
